Ranked among the top of his class and chosen for the prestigious Air Force Advanced Education in General Dentistry program, Dr. Eck brings a caliber of training rarely found outside of specialty practices. His advanced experience includes dental implants, oral surgery, prosthodontics, and cosmetic dentistry.
Committed to continuous growth, Dr. Eck trains with leading experts across the country and globe and has also taught fellow dentists locally. Patients trust him for everything from routine care to complex full-mouth rehabilitation because of his precision, attention to detail, and ability to provide comprehensive care in one location.
During his assignment at Randolph Air Force Base, Dr. Eck and his wife fell in love with Schertz and have made it their permanent home. Now with nine children, the Eck family is deeply connected to the community—bringing both excellence and genuine care to every patient experience.
Founder of the practice, Dr. Penshorn has provided trusted care in Schertz since 1982. He built the practice on a philosophy of listening carefully to patients, taking the time to understand their overall health, and tailoring treatment at a pace that feels right.
As he continues to serve patients alongside Dr. Eck, Dr. Penshorn brings continuity, experience, and the same patient-first approach that shaped the practice for more than 40 years.
